Amiens State School is a small country school located 15km from Stanthorpe on Amiens Road in the Granite Belt. We are a multi-grade co-educational school catering for students from Prep to Year 6 and also include a weekly playgroup for pre-Prep children from 0 to 4 years of age.
Established in 1919, Amiens State School has a long and proud history at the heart of the Amiens Community. This year saw the celebration of our 100 Year Anniversary, thanks to devoted staff, families and community members.
At Amiens State School, we believe working collaboratively is the key to ensuring our students achieve socially and academically. Staff strive to deliver challenging and engaging learning opportunities that meet the needs of each individual student and our small but dedicated P&C support us through fundraising endeavours and school and community events.
Our students engage in the Australian Curriculum, with access to a variety of resources and digital systems that cater to our 21st century learners. We offer multiple learning spaces across 2 large classrooms, a Library, Discovery Centre and expansive grounds. Students and staff model our positive approach to education through our school expectations: Be Respectful, Be Responsible and Be Safe, ensuring a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for all.
